TIG Welding is a manual welding process that requires the welder to use two hands to weld. What separates TIG welding from most other welding processes is the way the arc is created and how the filler metal is added! TIG Welding

My Millermatic welder plug won’t fit into my dryer outlet. The outlet is a single phase 30 amp outlet. The Miller welder is a v MIG welder, and it’s maximum output is 40 amps. The outlet is 30 amps and it’s single phase. This old outlet will run my welder just fine so long as I don’t try to max it out.

If yes what current would you use? It is difficult for me to “stick-weld” on thin guage sheet metal. I prefer Oxy-Acetlyene welding over the stick. One of the best “old-school” MIG supplies around. It is available relatively cheap used. However, it was not designed for home use as it was intended for production environments with 3-phase power and spray-transfer. It can be modified for use on single phase and short-arc welding. It will be limited to about amps when run off of single phase. If you are not sure how to do this modification, then do not attempt it.
